Sacramental questions of all times: “Who are we? What is our nature? Where is our point of support in various hierarchical systems: from family to society? How do we identify ourselves in the process of communication with any manifestations of the surrounding world?” In times of war and cruel cataclysms, and the intensive progress of artificial intelligence, these questions acquire existential importance.

At the same time, these questions and forms of their artistic expression remain a fundamental theme of visual art and continue to be the focus of contemporary artists, as well as the endless possibilities of depicting the human body.

The plastic compositions of Christina Ridzel, the paintings and graphics of Slava Schulz and Vadim Lipskykh united by the capacious and polyphonic theme “Ars Anthropo”, represent human, removing his protective surface shell and exposing his psychological state.

Figures, half-figures, individual fragments of bodies and faces and their constellations, facial expressions and gestures of their characters become means of reflection of all three authors on the issues of life and war, exceptional and everyday, external and internal, gender and society. They also explore the problem of individual freedom and the possibility of an alternative view in a unified, conformal world of templates.
Obviously, the interpretation of reality by each artist has its own connotations, which diversifies the polylogue of the works presented at the exhibition.

The project is carried out jointly with Fullbright Ukraine, Ukrainian Fullbright Circle, Institute international education.
The curator of the project is Anton Kolomiyets, junior research fellow of the IPSM NAM of Ukraine, artilleryman 241st regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Co-curator is Marina Streltsova, research fellow of the Kunsthalle Rostock.
